Q.What are your services like?
A. We typically start services with an opening hymn and opening prayer. Then there are announcements and we go over the calendar. Then Intercessory prayer. Then a sermon followed by communion and an offering. Then closing hymns and a prayer. This usually takes an hour and a half. We usually have snacks and fellowship following services and all are invited to join in.
Q. What about Communion and offerings?
A. We serve communion at every service. Guests are invited to join us in celebrating the Lord's Supper.
We also take up a collection at every service. We believe that every believer should contribute to the finances of the church. As a first time visitor, you are our guest and not expected to contribute.
Q. How do I join your church?
A. The ABC's of becoming a Grace Communion International community church member are as follows.
:
A - ACCEPT Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
B - BAPTISM into Jesus Christ and His Church.
C - COMMIT to sharing the mission and responsibilities of the local Grace Communion International church.
Once you accept the ABC's of membership, we will have a brief ceremony in our worship service to welcome and accept you as new members of the local Grace Communion International church.
Q. When did your church start?
A. In the early 1930s, Herbert Armstrong began a ministry that eventually became Grace Communion International. He had many unusual doctrines. These he taught so enthusiastically that eventually more than 100,000 people attended weekly services. After he died in 1986, church leaders began to realize that many of his doctrines were not biblical. These doctrines were rejected, and the church is now in full agreement with the statement of faith of the National Association of Evangelicals.
Q. What about childcare?
A. Our services are child friendly and we welcome children, of all ages, in our services.
