About Us

Grace Communion International (formerly Worldwide Church of God), headquartered in Glendora, California, has members in almost 100 countries and territories. The Church's mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world and to help members grow spiritually (Matthew 28:19-20).
The Church believes it is called to proclaim the gospel of redemption and salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and in his second coming to rule all nations in righteousness and peace. As a Spirit-led body of believers, the Church is told, "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). The Church constantly renews its commitment to truth and deeper understanding, and responds to God's guidance in its beliefs and practices.
Our mission is the shared mission of Christians everywhere. To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is the message that God is reconciling the world to himself and offering forgiveness of sin and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
In April 2009, we changed our name in the United States to Grace Communion International. This name better reflects who we are and what we teach.

What we believe:

  • There is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • God the Father made all things through the Son, sent the Son for our salvation, and gives us the Holy Spirit.
  • The Son of God, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, was born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human, and is the perfect revelation of the Father and the perfect representative of humanity. He suffered and died on the cross for all human sin, was raised bodily on the third day, and ascended to heaven. Standing in for all humanity before the Father, Jesus Christ provides the perfect human response to God. Since he died for all, all died in him, and all will be made alive in him.
  • The Holy Spirit brings sinners to repentance and faith, assures believers of their forgiveness and acceptance as God’s dearly loved children, and works in them to conform them to the image of Jesus Christ.
  • The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God that testifies to Jesus Christ. The Bible is fully authoritative for all matters of faith and salvation.
  • Salvation comes only by God’s grace and not by works, and it is experienced through faith in Jesus Christ. Christians respond to the joy of salvation when they gather in regular fellowship and live godly lives in Jesus Christ.
  • We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come.

  Community Values:

Each community of faith is defined by its values. Although the San Bernardino-Beaumont-Victor Valley Churches of Grace Communion International share many of the same core values as all Grace Communion International congregations around the world, some values are unique to our locale.

These perspectives characterize our community values:

Grace Communion International is a Spirit-filled community of believers. Our focus is:

  • Upward: We exalt Jesus Christ in all our worship and in all our outreach
        activities.
  •  Inward: We minister to all those called into fellowship with us, encouraging
believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ and to discover and develop their spiritual gifts for use in fulfilling the
great commission and the great commandment.
  •  Outward: We evangelize the world around us, teaching all who will hear to
obey the commands of Jesus Christ, to repent from sin, and to embrace the
free gift of salvation by grace. We also joyously proclaim the return of Christ
and the coming establishment of the fullness of the kingdom of God.
